I have become addicted to spotify thanks to the great integration into LMS that spotty provides, but as so many others, I would like to quit spotify due to the misinformation they provide a platform for - wish they had stayed a pure music service. [SlimDevices: Plugins] squeezelite on OSX?
Apologies for my bad search skills. I am an extremely happy long-time user of squeezelite and jivelite on linux, but now I would like to do a similar setup on the Mac my wife uses. Squeezelite is probably enough (she can use the LMS web interface for control), but startup of squeezelite needs to be automatic (or trivially easy - no command line). While I have no problems with Linux, I am *not* a mac person, so will probably need hand-holding on dealing with the Mac. "To try to judge the real from the false will always be hard. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Indeed, installing the plugin moved the port (for the web interface) to 9001, removing the plugin (and rebooting) did not move it back. So, after removing the plugin, and rebooting, everything (except the plugin) works again. lsof -i doesn't show any process using port 9000. I haven't been able to set the helper app port number because trying to configure the plugin gives me 404. I only seem to have one set of processes: ps ax | grep sq 1001 ?Ssl0:00 /usr/sbin/mysqld 1078 ?S 0:00 /bin/bash /usr/sbin/squeezeboxserver_safe /usr/sbin/squeezeboxserver --prefsdir /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs --logdir /var/log/squeezeboxserver/ --cachedir /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache --charset=utf8 1094 ?S 0:07 /usr/bin/perl -w /usr/sbin/squeezeboxserver --prefsdir /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs --logdir /var/log/squeezeboxserver/ --cachedir /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache --charset=utf8 1200 ?Sl 0:00 /usr/sbin/mysqld --defaults-file=/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/my.cnf -- Julf Julf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42050 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Reinstalling with manual restart - server starts, but music (from library) stutters very badly (or, rather, only gives occasional snippets of music), and there are duplicate processes. I would post the relevant part of the log file from server, but the forum software seems to think it contains image links and doesn't allow me to post it. Plugin helper app log empty. -- Julf Julf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42050 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Copying the plugin binaries (they are in /var/lib/ on kubuntu) to subdirectory of home directory results in interesting result: # ./spotifyd bash: ./spotifyd: No such file or directory # file spotifyd spotifyd: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.15, not stripped # ls -l spotifyd -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 112035 2010-12-21 21:09 spotifyd -- Julf Julf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42050 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
what does ldd ./spotifyd show? # ldd spotifyd not a dynamic executable Hmm... # file spotifyd spotifyd:ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.15, not stripped But... # uname -a Linux bigbox 2.6.32-21-server #32-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 16 09:17:34 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux So the spotifyd binary is 32-bit, my server is 64-bit... Is there a 64-bit version of spotifyd? But not sure that explains why it causes the duplicate processes... -- Julf Julf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42050 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
And as my local music was stuttering really badly, I removed the spotify plugin - and that made squeezeboxserver stop working completely - the web interface was not responding anymore, not even after rebooting the server. Nothing untowards in the logs. Had to completely purge and reinstall squeezeboxserver. -- Julf Julf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42050 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
