Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Picoreplayer / Shairport-sync
Just gave the new version of Shairport-Sync a test run, it works fine and stable! The instructions to rename the Airplay 2 Endpoint worked as well. Thank you very much for the update! 2 ideas come to my mind: - Would it be possible to name the Shairport-Endpoints in the Picoreplayer Frontend (or alternatively have them named the same as the Squeezelite Endpoint)? - How about adding librespot functionality to Picoreplayer in the same way as you did for Shairport-Sync? This could be a workaround to the everlasting stability and reliability issues of the Spotty Spotify Connect implementation (random stops, stops before the end of the songs, skipping sometimes not working and so on..). cramcram's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22906 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=117145 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Community Firmware for Squeezebox Radio/Touch/Controller and LMS 8
Last weekend I installed the latest version of the Community Firmware on 2 Radios, 2 Controllers and one Touch without any problems. It just worked via Michaels plugin. I did a factory reset on each device before installing the new firmware. LMS is version 8.1 on max2play. All of my devices are working properly. Maybe its just imagination, but navigating through the menus on the Radio feels a little faster and more responsive. I almost cannot believe there is new firmware out for tech gadgets of this age. Usually people post here if somethings isn't working, so I thought I'd do the opposite for once :D Since 2.7.5 Spotty's Spotify Connect implementation is really stable for the first time ever since there's Spotty. I guess there was some bigger change in Spotty recently (new libraries with 2.7.5?). Or maybe I'm just lucky :) Thank you so much Michael for alle your efforts. Still love the LMS / Squeezebox platform. Spotty is running on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ with max2play. Kudos to the max2play team as well. There's one minor issue. But it's neither a complaint nor a bug report, but rather a feature request: The only issue I'm having for now is the re-announcement of Spotify Connect endpoints when syncing and unsyncing players. When powering, unpowering and switching players on and off in my personal experience the feature creates more problem than it solves. E.g. after syncing Spotify Connect music stops and I have to select the newly announced player in the Spotify App. Or there's two players of the same group announced for some time until one disappears (e.g. 'Kitchen & Living Room' and 'Living Room & Kitchen'). I'd prefer not to have the re-announcement of the synced players. I always know which players are synced to others, so I'd prefer to just pick one of the synced players in the Spotify app knowing it is synced. cramcram's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22906 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109991 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi Philippe I'm regularly encountering an issue where the playback stutters and it won't recover until I reboot LMS and reopen Spotify on my iOS devices. Here's the setup: max2play (Stretch image, but the issue occured als on Jessie Lite) Latest LMS nightly Dev Version of ShairTunes2 (0.90.5) Raspberry Pi 3B+, hardwired Squeezebox Touch, hardwired iOS latest / Spotify latest Default ShairTunes2 buffer configuration, never changed Streaming as flac Router is Google Wifi, Wifi signal very strong, solid network After some time (let's say between 30 minutes up to even 3 hours) the stream starts to stutter in a way that it won't recover. Setting a 120 seconds LMS startup in max2play fixed it. According to a discussion with philippe_44 this is due to the fact that LMS might be started w/o having obtained an IP address yet. Then the daemons that broadcast the creation of AirTunes devices from SB players don't have a correct address and the are not reachable for playback. I didn't fiddle around with the delay duration, so less than 120 seconds might be ok as well. @Max2Play you might add the benefits to the Shairtunes plugin to the dialog description of this feature in the max2play Web UI? cramcram's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22906 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106289 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
I'm cutting my servers and players from power when I don't need them. This causes one problem with the Shairtunes2W plugin. Here's how to reproduce it: - Boot LMS (max2play on Raspberry PI) - Power on Squeezebox Boom - Play something via Shairtunes2W plugin from iOS device - Squeezebox Boom says that the connection is being established but it doesn't play anything After restarting LMS (while Squeezebox Boom is already on) things are working fine. Do the players have to be on and connected to LMS at the moment the plugin is being started on the server in order for the plugin to work fine? cramcram's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22906 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106289 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I've uploaded screenshots of my MIS configuration to this post. I noticed that the problem only occurs, when my Boom is synchronized to my Touch. Both of the players are Spotify Connect activated. As soon is I unsynchronize my Boom from the Touch the display of title, artist and album information works fine. When it is synchronized with my Touch (the target player in the Spotify app being the Boom) the Boom displays only the title, artist and album information of the first song. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.9.0 - now with experimental Spotify Connect support!
Hi Michael Since 1.99 the stability of Spotify Connect made an enormous step forward, I can use it now. Before it hadn't been stable enough in my setup. I confirm that skipping doesn't occur anymore. Thank you so much! However I noticed one detail: On my Boom the plugin displays always the title, artist and album information of the first track of a Spotify Connect session. I'm musing the music information screen plugin. On my touch and classic (also using the music information plugin) the title, artist and album information however is correct. My setup: Pi, max2play, latest LMS nightly / latest spotty 1.99.1 Thanks, Roland cramcram's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22906 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108030 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I installed the dev version which is very stable in my environment. However the wrong bluetooth icon still appears in the Spotify iOS apps. Here's how to reproduce it: - Open Spotify in iOS device - Select a ShairTunes device as music destination in the Spotify app - Close the Spotify app - Reopen the Spotify App - The ShairTunes device is shown as a Bluetooth icon, no player name is indicated - Reselect your iPhone / iPad in the Spotify app as destination - Reselect a ShairTunes device - The Spotify app shows again the airplay icon and the player name Music can be played when the ShairTunes device is showed as Bluetooth device in Spotify. So this is a minor issue. cramcram's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22906 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106289 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
I recently installed a fresh copy of LMS on a brand new Raspberry Pi 3B with max2play. I installed ShairTunes too. It works beautifully. Streaming to my squeezeboxes from the Spotify app on my iPhone and iPad using ShairTunes is for more reliable than using the experimental Spotify Connect support from the Spotty plugin. Thank you so much! There's on little detail: The Spotify iOS App (latest Spotify on latest iOS 11) regularly displays the airplay connection to my Squeezeboxes as Bluetooth device. Playback works, only the icon is wrong. Any idea what the reason might be? Bluetooth is deactivated, there's no connected or visible Bluetooth speakers around. 23878 +---+ |Filename: spotify-bluetooth.png| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=23878| +---+ cramcram's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22906 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106289 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.9.0 - now with experimental Spotify Connect support!
I finally went down the Raspberry Pi Route and gave up running LMS on my Synology NAS. I'm using a Raspberry Pi 3B with max2play. Everything works fine (although slower as on the NAS). Only the Spotty menus sometimes are really annoyingly slow... When searching for an artist and then browsing artist and albums sometimes I have to wait up to 15 seconds to see the results. In the LMS Webinterface and in iPeng it is samesame - both are slow. Sometimes there's timeouts. I don't think I'm doing something wrong here - the setup of the Pi is fresh, new and still shiny even. I'm resizing cover art locally on LMS, I'm not using mysqueezebox.com for resizing of cover art. Is this 'speed' normal? Can it be improved somehow? cramcram's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22906 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108030 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi Pinkdot Here's the DB version of your "new old" test server (that is the same as the official Synology beta package): Code: Datenbankversion: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1) I installed your new 1061 test version. Unfortunately the issue is not solved, it crashes again, when displaying special characters. Again nothing in the server.log. cramcram's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22906 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103636 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Of course I'm using LMS update, I also tried your latest 1057 version, but the issue was still there. If you could do a package with the workaround that would be fantastic. In the long run a real fix would be good. It should not happen that LMS completely crashes just when displaying a special character on one of the old players. It also happens with French characters. Unfortunately I don't have the possibility to try, if the problem also exists with the original Synology LMS beta package. I installed the 1057 update, but that didn't help. However I could properly reproduce the LMS crash when browsing through the album artists. The server crash happens exactly when an artists should be displayed which is called "Vive La Fete" on my Boom. So the special character / UTF-8 route might be the way to go? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotify Protocol Handler - play Spotify on all your Squeezeboxen
I'm having troubles with the plugin. When syncing my Touch with one of the old IP3K players (Classic, Boom) Spotify stops playing the songs after a couples of seconds, switches to the next songs and completely stops playing afterwards. The log says: Code: [16-04-30 08:18:53.6211] Plugins::SpotifyProtocolHandler::Spotifyd::relogin (217) requesting relogin I tried resetting the Spotify device password and also tried using a Facebook app password instead of the Spotify device password. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Test] Repo for LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.*
Is it possible to add AAC Plus transcoding support to LMS Update? On DS-712+ using the latest version (1053) of LMS Update this does not work. The probable reason for this is documented in this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?99110-Internet-radio-station-won-t-play The version of faad coming with DSM doesn't support AAC Plus transcoding - the version shipped with LMS would do so.
