on Android at least does offline music properly, just
click the push pin and push again to remove again. I'm not sure if
offline music is a function on the iOS version but worth a look.

No you'll need to have LMS running to use the plugin.
You could use a NAS or some sort of small device like a raspberry pi to
run LMS if you don't want to have a PC on.

Yep orange squeeze does all of that, including dragging songs in the
play list queue. I also like squeeze Commander but it's even less
optimised to tablets.
