This will force Spotty to use the spotty-hf rather than spotty-muslhf
binary. Don't ask me why the latter would work if run as root, but not
otherwise...
After the restart check Settings/Advanced/Spotty to make sure it's
using spotty-custom, rather than spotty-muslhf.
That seems to work for me

The Spotify disconnect seems to be an issue more and more users are

this problem, too. And on the librespot code there's been activity to

Since two days i always have the problem that i'm not able to see what
is played actually. The musicserver plays one song after the other, but
in the spotifiy app on android or on mac i don't see whats going on! So
its not the actual song i'm seeing there.

Hmm... indeed: that binary wouldn't run. Not even on the machine I built

serious issue in the code.

Hmm the server log shows it seems to be
OK, how do I get the plugin to use the new helper?
Just install it. Its binary comes with the name "spotty-custom" which
takes precedence over the other binaries. Spotty should pick it up
automatically.

Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Do I uninstall 2.1.9?
No, this only adds a new helper application to the installation.

Shared object "libvorbisfile.so.3" not found, required by "spotty-custom"
I bet that means that you have to install some OGG/Vorbis libraries. But
that's beyond my scope. Check with the BSD community.

Hi Michael,
thanks a lot for your support. I re-installed everything in a jail and
could finally activate both (see screenshot)
However it still shows the same error. in the advanced settings. I found
these lines in the server.log
Code:
[18-02-26 07:56:04.9370]
I should think so. Can I put it in the folder via a Samba share?
You could certainly transfer it using Samba, but unlikely put it in the
right place.
I've uploaded a small plugin "SpottyV2Bin". Use
http://www.herger.net/slim-plugins/test.xml to install it. I haven't
tested it at all...
The connect functionality works rather well. It is just that whenever I
reboot the computer, or even stop and start LMS, the " Don't announce"
option is ticked again, and my Squeezebox does not show up in Spotify.
Apparently the option is not stored in the plug-in settings.
Is this by design?

Would it be spotty-muslhf (v0.9.0)?
Yes, likely. Would you be able to put a file in your path where LMS
would find it? Could be the path where above file is, or any folder as
listed on Settings/Information?
