The PhoneProfilesPlus app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sk.henrichg.phoneprofilesplus) allows this kind of functionality as well. I use it to automatically launch MapMyRide + MediaMonkey when I connect my heart rate monitor for working out, but also to change lockscreen behaviour and sound volumes etc depending on whether I'm in my car, at home, at work, in a meeting ... In his blog, the SqueezePlayer app developer suggests the AutomateIt app. I'm using it to start SqueezePlayer on my Android, and I have other "rules" to kill all sound from the phone and to set the bluetooth volume to full - all triggered when the phone boots. You can create a rule to start Squeezer, or SqueezePlayer has the option to start it. majones's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13029 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108678 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Probably not what you want to hear when you aready have made your choice for Squeezer + Squeeze Player, but Squeeze Control + SB Player allow you to do exactly what you want. Squeeze Control can be configured to automatically launch SB Player on starting, but most importantly, SB Player can be configured to start along with your device, and at the same time launch Squeeze Control (or even Squeezer for that matter). Bluetooth is actually even simpler. It should restart in the state it was in when powering down the phone, and if the bluetoot speaker is powered on, it will connect automagically :) Main System: Touch; Marantz SR-5004 + TMA Premium 905 + TMA Premium 901 + Teufel Ultima 20 Mk 2 + BK Monolith+ FF + Lenovo T460 + Kodi + Pioneer PDP-LX5090H Workshop: iPad 32GB Wifi + Squeezepad (local playback activated) Wherever needed: Acer Iconia Tab A700 + Squeezeplayer Kitchen: iPhone 5s + iPeng (local playback activated) + NAD 312 + Teufel Ultima 20 Mk 2 Headphone (cozy corner): Lenovo T550 + Squeezelite-X + Cyrus Soundkey + Topping A30 + Focal Elear Car: TBC ... bakker_be's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30369 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108678 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] My cheap Squeezebox player - how can I automate startup?
FYI, I've just arrived at the same setup as a means of relaying bluetooth to a waterproof speaker in the bathroom (my daughter gave it to me so I feel duty bound to use it!). My efforts with SqueezeLite on a Raspberry Pi 3 were hampered by poor bluetooth capability, whereas an android mobile (in my case Alcatel Pixi 3 4" - Android 4.4) innately handles wifi and bluetooth, and works well as an SB device using the Squeezebox Player app. I've synced it via LMS to my SB Radio in the bedroom and there is a slight sync mismatch, I'm guessing due to the additional bluetooth delay to the speaker. It's cheap and it just works! majones's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13029 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108678 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] My cheap Squeezebox player - how can I automate startup?
I am a long time Squeezebox owner - three complete units with the Logitech remote and player etc ... But trying to get into the 21st century I have now got working: Logitech Media Player on my PC (Windows 10) Squeezer App and Squeeze Player App on a cheap Android phone (Alcatel Pixi) that I bought from Walmart for $12 Phone connects via Bluetooth to external speakers It all works fine when I start the apps separately and manually search/connect bluetooth. But I would like to somehow do this all with one press of a button. I am not using the phone as a phone - just as a remote control and smart player so would like to delete all extraneous apps and leave the "phone" clean for minimum power use. I am not very technical. but I wonder if somehow I can generate a script that runs when I turn the "phone" on and then runs Squeezer to connect to the Media Player, then runs Squeeze Player to play the music on the "phone" and then connects to bluetooth? btw I also can also use the same "phone" to run the Logitech Harmony app to control my TV, Cable box etc so again an umbrella app would be a nice thing. Any thoughts or pointers would be appreciated.
