Update I recently started using the Allo Katana (+ Isolator) with Picore. Alsa EQ works perfectly well within the setup. ie the repetitive sound I and others described previously is not there. I've used it extensively on my own ripped CDs and TIDAL streams. I have no idea if this is

Thanks Gegen, it's interesting to know there's a 'fix'. I'm considering dropping some money on a katana. I wonder if the same control is available to that dac. Greg, I'm not sure and will have a look when I'm home. I may have driven it up beyond 44.1/48 in a quest for sonic nirvana. Simon
