to kill the process and then restart my Mac to get it running
smoothly again.
I didn't have time last night to try and replicate it but am happy to
send any logs or do whatever to help diagnose. Just let me know.
Thanks.

Sorry, I only assumed it was an iPeng issue as I was using it at the
time SC crashed. I'll try and replicate the problem when I get a
chance and get back to you. I thought it might have been similar to
the issue someone had a few pages back having to restart his NAS.

Hey pippin,
just to let you know that I couldn't replicate the problem last night
so I'm a happy customer. Thanks for a great product. :-)

Hey pippin, back again. Are there any known issues with 1.0.5 that would
cause it to crash on startup? I've restarted my iPhone so far but that
us all.
Thanks.

Hey Pippin,
I turned on airline mode, didn't help. I rebooted, didn't help.
Turned airline mode off, didn't help. It just crashes every time.
Is it possible to delete it and download it again from the App Store?
I've not used the AS much.
Thanks.

I have no technical knowledge with linux etc. and I am now completely

Just wanted to reply to an old question on the other thread about my
setup. Taken ages to catch up on the posts here. :-) May be useful
for anyone debugging.
As a roundup: I'm running a Synology DS213 with LMS 7.7.2 and ffmpeg
0.7.9. No issues. No hung ffmpeg processes. All I've done is
Not been round these parts for a long time so haven't kept up. I've
been using the BBC Applet and when that stopped working the other day I
found my way to Triode's plugin. Installed that last night and was
playing nicely. Today, 9th Feb, I get home after work and I can't play
R1 and get the
Just wanted to add something here for those who are still struggling. I
only just checked in to see what progress is being made and tried to
install Triode's latest alpha plugin. However, I couldn't get the LA
feeds to work until I had first uninstalled PlayHLS, restarted,
uninstalled Triode's
I'm also seeing issues. Am using only the BBC iPlayer plugin and Listen
Live, exclusively Radio1. I had the occasional buffering when the
initial HLS issues were sorted out but it has mostly been very
occasional and wasn't an issue. Over the last two weeks or so it has
become almost unusable

Yes typo network.asynchttp and network.asyncdns
And those two network loggers were enabled already and should be in the
log I uploaded. There might be some noise in there as I was playing
with the logs to see what they output. Today, I've just started the
live feed of BBC R1 and
OK, an update from my side. This evening I've had a play and tried a
few things. I'm currently listening to the R1 stream via both my
Logitech Squeezeblox Classic and Squeezeplay on OS X. I've also
installed LMS 7.8.1 on an Ubuntu VM on my server.
Squeezeplay is fine.
My Squeezebox is
I just wanted to add to this thread. I'm seeing the same sort of
dropouts and issues as others here.
I've enabled logging of plugin.bbciplayer.hls. I've been watching the
log stream while I try to listen and the dropouts always seem to
coincide with a larger number of chunks being received.
This is the log after 3 underruns in about 15 seconds.
Code:
[15-06-20 19:39:05.2190] Plugins::BBCiPlayer::iPlayer::_checkStream (245)
consecutiveErrors: 0 songElapsed: 2.93301921081543

It's definitely related to having a chunk list of 5. Every time I get
merged chunklist now 5 chunks it underruns. I've been seeing the
following type of warnings today quite a bit so perhaps there are
requests going on in the background that cause a process to timeout.
I've tried to disable
Sorry, I assumed that was a typo as I don't have that logger. I'm
running LMS 7.7.2.

Ah, ok. Sorry. Been a long weekend. I had originally tried running
without specifying the server, and specifying the server and no port,
and neither worked for some reason which is why I ended up where I was.
All seems happy now.
No, just the one client. I stopped it by Ctrl-C'ing otherwise it would
have looped forever doing the sendHELO.

Tim, I am asking what does error 577 mean. :-)
The port and IP are correct. As I mentioned, my SB Classic is playing
fine and I can browse to LMS at that address.
