Thanks all. It's taken me ages to reply to all this, sorry. I'm going to
give the Sounds app a try. I'm already regbistered with Sounds anyway so
no biggy for me.
And once again, thanks Triode and bpa for all the hard work over the
years.
I do know things have to move on but like others I offer my sincere
thanks to Triode and BPA for having this excellent plug in over such a
long time . I am listening now to Cerys on 6music with the new Sounds
app and for that I am very thankful . However with out this plug in I
would have missed

Most of BBCiPlayerExtra still works A-Z and Genres & Podcasts. The
station menu used the "Listen Again" feeds" and so are broken.

I see Live is still working, so for the moment I'll hang onto that.
I'll somewhat reluctantly start to investigate the BBC Sounds plugin for

Sorry, I should have been clearer: Im not having any trouble,
personally, I just wanted to chip in to show how one can test what
versions of TLS your OpenSSL can use with a particular site. Leave off
the -tls1 and itll use whatever it thinks best.

The log shows what I would expect with IO::Socket::SSL V2.002 and so
doesn't matter what version of OpenSSL is running. The Radioplayer
Error every 30 secs - which is due to https but it does nto

Interesting.
The Radioplayer error is being logged (i.e. https support is the root
cause of the erro and also the repository xml errors) and so you are
reproducing the error at the expected 30 secs

retrieved from the RadioPlayer siet as
