I've got some feedback from zhukov@, that apparently
kdenlive is no longer working, but nothing more.
No idea whether this is related to the mlt update, or whether kdenlive
was already broken before that update (as kde tends to be a moving target)...
It's been 2 weeks... can I get some

I've had most of this in my dir for a while, I actually got stumped on
something stupid in shotcut.
I've built and used shotcut with this without issue. I've also built
kdenlive, but I'm not too familiar with it.

New version... I neutered some
Now with better runtime behavior
Some of the mutexes don't work with our stringent defaults,
this prevents some aborts on shotcut.
and I can actually start a clip in kdenlive with this.

Which version? I couldn't get 20.04.12 to start, without crashing.
Do we want to add debug
With that update, I've been able to build a recent shotcut
The timeline stuff seems to be missing in action, though,
which is weird.

Please find attached a mlt update which also enable
multimedia/frei0r-plugins and a simple patch which add frei0r-plugins as
run dependency for x11/kde-applications/kdenlive.

Update multimedia/mlt to the latest release. Also fixes the build with
clang. I don't use melt, but the tests only have one failure (mentioned
in the Makefile) and it could play a few sample videos. A minor lib bump
is required, but I'm not confident it's sufficient, so the patch cranks

Hi @ports, Hi Vadim,
last week I picked up mlt to update.
regression tests with old 0.9.6:
Totals: 28 passed, 2 failed, 0 skipped
regression tests with new 6.0.0:
Totals: 55 passed, 1 failed, 0 skipped
More runtime tests with amultimedia/kdenlive on amd64.
Okay? Comments?
