This audio player does indeed have quite a minimal UI (as advertised). It lacks a couple of features I'd like (queue, repeat, search in track list, scroll track list if mouse wheel is used on it), so I'm not sure yet if will replace XMMS for me. But it's quite close. And the code looks fairly sane
