Hi list, I have a PowerBook 540c that has the AAUI port built-in and the AAUI to RJ45 transciever. I was wondering what kind of performance should I expect on that setup? I don't think I get more than like 150 Kb/s maximum and more like 30-50 Kb/s. Would it make sense to get a different

I have a couple of PowerBook 500 laptops here, and I don't have any batteries for them. According to the service manual, the batteries are supposed to output 10.8 volts. If my math is right, that means exactly nine 1.2 volt rechargeable AAs. Would it be feasible to fabricate a battery holder case

Yep, holding 'c' won't work when booting up these machines, I can't remember the exact combination, something like command-option-shift-delete when starting up. Usually in times like this, I just hold down as many of the typical buttons (i.e., option, command, control etc etc) and go from there. I
