SpamSieve auto startup?

Greetings-- I'm using PM 5.1 and have recently upgraded SpamSieve to version 2.3. Whereas before SpamSieve would start up automatically when PowerMail was launched, now it doesn't. (When I launch it manually though it works fine.) I did try going to the Setup Menu --Spam Filter Assistant, and

marlyse, Yes, This seems to be the best thing, but this represents 6 or 7 years of attachments, and my entire archive of email up to 3 months ago when I switched to PM. Now, forever more, if I have to find an attachment, I have to search the drive for it. That's a bummer. I was hoping Jerome

This is really upsetting because it means from here forward, for as long as I care about my archive of email, I must keep my old attachments in Mail. or do as I suggested: move all to the PM attachment folder and DELETE the Mail attachment folder. the links will no longer work, but the

Barbara, Hmm. Actually, that doesn't work. These attachemnts are actually listed as a link within PM. They do not look like attachments that are not imported (newer ones). The newer ones look like an icon, and the imported ones are a link, like I have now showed a few times. The link does not

Evie, I think you may be worrying unnecessarily! If the attachments exist as files and those files are already linked to the emails in PowerMail (and those links are live, ie. not greyed out) the you should be home and dry, because PM should keep track of the attachments as you move them around.

peww, I am glad that you have them 'physically separated from Mail'. the whole thing makes now much more sense. I'd like to move all the attachments to PM attachments folder, but will have to relink them 1 by 1, right? well, I don't know how you want to re-link attachments in PM - in the sense
