Two things that I seem to be experiencing that I don't think I have seen
on either list. Not a big deal, but it does slow things down a little.

And, dare I say it... Eudora.
Is there something within PM5 to log POP/SMTP sessions (IMAP too for
those that have it)?
The are things like Interarchy, but most do far more than my needs and
many others needs as well.
See your System Preferences International Formats.
As a bonus, the setting takes effect system-wide too.
:)
I have made changes to these settings and still see the long date/time in
both PM and the Finder.
I thought I had seen preferences for date and time formats, like long
date, short date, relative, etc. I've looked around in PM 5, but don't
see any way of customizing. Specifically in the Date Sent column in the
Browser.
...Maybe that was Eudora. :)

It is difficult to tell without some logging, but the address doesn't appear
to malformed. A lot of times when this happens, the cause is related to DNS.
When the message is submitted, your provider's SMTP server asks its DNS to
attempt to contact the recipient domain's DNS. If it
Woo hoo! That's what I have been looking for.

Here is an undocumented feature: you can open PowerMail's package (via
the contextual menu on the application icon), and for every icon file
present in the Contents / Resources
With the new beta, when I delete a message by clicking on the trash can,
my next message is no longer selected.
Yep. Hope that's a temporary takeaway.

but the syntax between mail and pm are not the same, so the moment I

Hah! You didn't think it would be as easy as change the app name, did you? :)

Thanks for chiming in with your vote on this. Myself and others have asked for

If it hasn't already been said, those icons on the toolbar just don't present a
good impression for a mail client that fits so broad a user and feature base.
I have seen comments on the Reply/Redirect/Forward icons: 1) they look
unfinished 2) they don't match the others.

PM is not importing all the addresses in the Apple Address book.
This has happened to me as well. I even pulled the address database and
started with a blank slate. Still missed several. I had one group with 78
members. Once the clean import was done, the list showed 77 in the PM
address book.

Drag and drop from the PowerMail Address book
That's what I refer to as Bob's second maxim of computing (Windows too).
First maxim: When in doubt, right-click.
Second Maxim: When in doubt, drag and drop.
I need to extract a group of email addresses from my address book. They
are in a group right now: I need to send this group to another person in
plain text form.
How can I do this?

I have noticed a hang condition that plagues PowerMail on some HTML

appears immediately and after a requisite amount of time, I check the PM

I was looking at the Sample Script that ships with PowerMail and was
wondering if there is a property that allows a group to be included in a

I also heard that Mail prints backwards.
Apart from the main issue here, I can verify that Mail 10.3.3 does print
backwards, at least with the HP DeskJet 950 series driver. Have to hold
the page up to the window to read it.
1. I would like to see The Mail Browser Window title bar show the current
mailbox title as well. Such as Mail Browser - In Tray
2. On the toolbar, have the New Message function as a drop down for New
Message from account_name much like the Connect button.
I am used to scrolling through and reading messages with the space bar.
This doesn't work with PowerMail when it encounters an HTML message. If
this is somehow configurable, it would be great, Otherwise, we'll call it
a wishlist item.
As others have said, I look at AppleMail each time they announce improvements
and features. I use it for a matter of days and then go back to what I am
using, now PowerMail.

I can certainly come up with a wishlist, but an interesting alternative if
PowerMail Dev can do it would be to publish to the list a brief synopsis of the
spec for version 5. My thought is to include new or beefed up features, not
necessarily every anticipated bug fix, etc.
Wishlists might be
Does anyone else see the issue where a highlighted field (New Subject is one),

Sure does. Now this leads me back to an unanswered question form several days

dead - or were yesterday). I like to get up to speed on something as vital as a

Mine has to do with selections, i.e., if I delete a message, the list has no
selection. In every other client I have used/seen the next message is
auto-selected.
Now, I am new to PowerMail and haven't gotten all the nuiances yet, so if this
is a user pref, let me know.

I haven't looked at the 4.2 version yet. Is there anything that can be
