Google Groups vs. Yahoo vs. ?
What do you use to run mailing lists? When PPIG first started, we used
majordomo.
In replacing the PPIG site last month, the mailing lists moved to a new
location too.
I thought that using Google Groups would be a good idea because my local
Toastmasters club uses

We use mailman but that requires a server installation. Similarly there is
listserv which for example. However, you could look in to Jiscmail
(https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/) which runs email groups for research and
education.

I’ve been running a Google group for around 10 years, and it has slowly got
less good. Paola’s list of problems states it well. OTOH it does a reasonable
job of noticing bounces, unlike several others I’ve tried.
Does anyone have direct experience of Jiscmail? Might be a good alternative -
