Maybe the first thing is not to overwrite the native method, I agree
with Mislav, to extend the NodeList.prototype maybe is the best
choice, and overwrite in the element methods never
want that thing

This is just a wrapper for document.gEBCN, but don't forget that the method
itself is available on every node in the DOM.
The alternate syntax suggested by Ben Newman and supported by Alex is

The syntax is slightly more verbose than what we have in 1.6.0, but with it
