I did not know where to report this problem, and did not find much
about this with google, but I think the developers of prototype should
know:
Line 4124 to 4129 (version 1.6.0.3):
document.write(script id=__onDOMContentLoaded defer src=//:\/
script);
A patch queued for 1.6.0.4 and discussed in lighthouse issue #127
(http://prototype.lighthouseapp.com/projects/8886-prototype/tickets/
127-explorer-no-firing-window-load-or-dom-loaded) completely re-writes
the code in question. We've been using the fix for several months and
haven't seen any SSL
