Hi all,
on a French list, someone claims to use ProTools on his PC. I don't
believe him, but I thought I would ask anyway.
Is this guy a joker?

Not to be rude, but, you might discourage him from filling us in on
something really cool here by chastising him like that, calling him a
joker. I personally have never heard of this being done. That however
said, rather than calling him unneeded names, I'd ask him to do tell. If he
is
Well if he is fully sighted it is possible. As we all know, ProTools on the
pc is not accessable to the blind as yet. Do we know if this guy is visually
impaired? I don't remember reading in that e-mail saying that he is blind.

Hi! I'm sorry if this has been discussed before and if I'm therefore
double-posting but I couldn't find something specific on this topic in this
group.
Thing is, I'm trying to learn pro tools, and therefor I also need to know
what can be done and what can't, so I know if it's me who's messing
Hello,
I too use loops in a similar manner to you. in version 8, 9 and 10 of Pro
Tools the workspace windows isn't accessible at all. There for it wasn't easy
to work with loops and i switched to using reaper on the mac instead. As such i
haven't spent the money for Pro Tools 11 yet, partly
Hi Jean-Philippe,
With WindowEyes, there is a degree of accessibility but not as good as with
VoiceOver. That said, I'm not sure about version 11 because the information I
have is based on several versions ago. Perhaps things have improved a bit. I'm
honestly not sure.

www.reaperacc.es pretty much sums it up. the nots for blind users page may
answer your question. quick start guide gives some examples of how to do things
on either mac or windows. Let me know if you have any further questions.

I sincerely hope you get a reply to this... I just spent the last two hours
tinkering with Pro Tools, to see if I could figure it out for you, but I can't
find the elastic button that seems (according to google), to apply elastic
audio to the track...
Anyone found this? I'm sure Chuck or
No, although sometimes with Jaws I have been able to create plugin presets
because I could get into the interface of some third party plugs to load audio
samples etc. But for actually doing real work, forget it.

Another thing is that the windows version is not nearly as stable. I have
always found it to be a crash fest. And a lot of customization of the

yeah i believe that's what Kevin Reeves said a couple of monts when i raised
the subject about ProTools accessability with sgreen readers on a windows
operating system.

Oh a long time ago around version 6, some things worked because the transport

now there is virtually no way to know if a track is armed or even what track is
