Hello Slau!
Thanks for the informations.
Do you know, if the LED setting is a HD feature or is it available on all Pro
Tools platforms?

Agreed, I only mentioned Garageband because of the amount of free
content that comes with it. If you've got Acid loops, or even if you
haven't, PT does have time compression/expansion capabilities.

It's not Apple loops. From what I know, we should be able to use ACID loops.
GarageBand is a possible option. However, it will never get me closer to using
PT.

Hi all,
I downloaded PT First last night. Since it runs on the PT 12.3.1 core, it is
completely accessible. I can access all controls (from what I can tell) with
VO. Unfortunately, PT is a different animal from any other DAW I have ever
seen. Therefore, I am completely lost with how to use it.
Hi Andy, Pro Tools is great and very accessible, I've been using it
since version 8.4. So, please don't see this as a criticism of the
product. But, have you considered Garageband? I only mention this
because, it's free and it comes with heaps of loops in different
styles. These loops can be
Hello All,
Thinking about getting just the chrystallizer plug-in and just curious how
accessible is it and how have you used it?
Any thoughts/advice appreciated.

Now there we’re at pt 12.3 I think that a lot of things have improved since pt
8 or pt9 in terms of voice over accessibility and what you’re able to do now. I
would say about $100 for a five part series concerning specific things
concerning pro tools. The problems that I had while I was in
Hi Steve,
Apart from the minor mix comments, the issue of orchestration is a big picture
item and, of course, a matter of style and taste, thus the "grain of salt"
reference. Of course, it's not a matter of good or bad but just different.
Sounds good.

Hi Slau,
Yes there is some strange behavior with El Capitan! :(
I just brought on line my new HDX system with PT 12.3 last night, and one of
the first "bugs" encountered was in the "dashboard" trying to navigate to my
external FW 800 glyph drive to save the new pt session i just named.

hey John, Crystalizer is a reverse verb very nice for creative uses, Yes
it's accessible via control surface and VO, even if via VO changing some
parameters takes more time. As you can read on the previous post on the

Hi.
Are any of you fans of the API2500 compressor plugin from Waves? From
the description, it sounds like it's intended for master bus applications.
For some reason, I hear much more about SSL and Neave gear and
emulations than I do API, so I'm not sure how well regarded API is.

There are two checkboxes in the dashboard window: Select Location and default
Location. Make sure the Select Location radio button is on.

Hey man, I appreciate you taking the time to listen, and value your input. I am
releasing an album shortly, and this is the opening track, it will be on iTunes
in the next few weeks, So this is why i thought i’d throw something out there,
and get some thoughts before finalising.
Thanks again
There is a toggle that changes the reverse feature. I use it on course and back
ground vocals on slower tracks to add depth to vocals.

I use this plug on pretty much every project stacked with a couple of other
compressors, but this is usually first in the chain, I like the sound that it
lends to stuff, almost a touch of analog IMO.

Hi Steve,
I agree with Slao about the instrumentation being a little too thick
to fully appreciate what is happening. Also, the snare sounds a little
buried and overly snappy. Maybe adding a little bit more bass boost
may warm it up.
I really enjoyed your lyrics. This is a great storytelling

Hi Slau,
I would be glad to let everyone use the scripts, but it isn't just that
simple as running a single application. I am a sound engineer myself, not a
programmer. But maybe I can think of something. Here is some more info how
it currently works.
We are running a freeware software called

Hey Slau,
Given who's producing it, if this were thorough I'd say $50 would give
me a warm fuzzy feeling, it'd need to contain some stuff that I didn't
already know and would be thought of as part supporting the cause part
investment at about $100, and by $150 it'd probably have to wait until

Hi Scott,
That made me laugh :) Harassment is perhaps an effective tactic, eh? Funny, I
never considered the crowd funding idea. Hmm… I'll have to think about that. It
certainly does accommodate those varying levels of patronage, you know: x
dollars gets you the basic, x dollars gets you some
Would definately be interested in this. Think scott hit on some interesting
points i am inclined to agree with her as well

Thank you! And, that is quite reasonably priced, I'll tell ya.
I'll definitely have a look. Thanks for thinking of me.

Hi Jakub,
There are certainly a bunch of helpful aspects to this idea. The integration
with VoiceOver is perhaps a bit of an issue, though. Also, the limitation of 8

this. Thanks for the explanation of things as they

Hi Chuck,
I attempted to chased this El Capitan issue down for over a month with
Apple tech support with no good results.
Once I downloaded the latest Pro Tools 12.3.1 and installed the HD
drivers from the 12.3.1 bundle, VOILA! All's well. Now my Mac Pro
reboots and shuts down once again. You
