I don't do anything commercial with it, but if I did, and my system was functioning amazingly and stable using an older OS, I wouldn't change it. The issue is that the new Macs are all coming with Mojave preinstalled, so people buying these systems will just have to be patient while Avid gets

Hmm… not exactly sure what you mean by "safe." Many studios stay on prior operating systems for a long time. If you're only using your personal laptop for Pro Tools rather than a dedicated machine, I can certainly see the slight dilemma but, frankly, it's a non-issue for most people. Whatever
