Just a word about playlists: As soon as an audio track is created, it has a playlist called Audio and the number of the track in the name. If you name the track before recording (as one should always do), the playlist will now be called whatever you named the track. So, in other words,

Hi Slau, Very nice explanation, that's what I thought playlistgs were all about. Perhaps it's my poor knowledge of the English language, but I still wonder why the reference guide keeps mentioneing to set ranges in the track's playlist. Let me quote some examples: 1. select a range in a track's

Hi Ronald, It sounds more complicated than it really is. Let's distinguish between two things that are very clearly separated in the analog world but are often confused in the digital world. One is a track and the other is a channel. In a DAW, the two are often used interchangeably. The Mix

Nelson, I take it that you've never worked with an analog multitrack recorder? Track record buttons are separate from the transport record button for the ability to arm and disarm any tracks at any given point along with the ability to be either in record or playback mode. It's a dual level

002 vs 003?

In terms of access of course? I have a 002, and since pt 9 still supports it, am wondering if there is a seriously compelling reason for a change? Oh and I did learn that they still keep the preferred gear list including computer recommendations, can share the link if there is interest. Karen

Hey man. Just import the midi, let it create new midi tracks, then set up 2 or 3 xpand tracks. You can have 4 tracks per xpand instantiation. So some of your midi tracks can go to xpand2 1, then more to xpand2 2, and so on. You could also instantiate the mini grand and set a midi track to it.
