at direct monitoring then which audio interfaces have a switch or knob to 
either turn on or the direct monitoring of what you are mixing/recording then?

Someone should create a list of the various 
popular interfaces currently available, and how 
accessible they are or aren't, on both the Mac and Windows side.

I owned a Clarett interface and while the control software wasn’t accessible at 
the time what was accessible was loading presets that were created with sighted 
assistance. The iOS app however was pretty accessible but you did need sighted  
assistance to pair it to the the desktop app  before the iOS app could control 
your unit. Also Focusrite support was great about Remoting into your system to 
do the parts that needed sighted assistance.
