(try to disable tablet, and check if it's ok in RDP)

Hi Folks
What improvements does offer using a guest agent?
I think currently
guest-shutdown to shutdown the guest
and
guest-fsfreeze-freeze, to freeze the filesystem for snapshots
Does wheezy-backpots package qemu-guest-agent work OK with PVE 3.4?
Shutdown, i'm sure it's ok.
Freeze i'm not sure
When I try to make bigger disk via GUI, then Disk size increment
should increment disk by entered GB, as the name says. Right now it
takes this entered GB as a final value.
That sem strange, the increment value is really the increment added to the
current size.
what storage do you use ?
can
Can I have snapshot under ZFS + iSCSI?
Proxmox zfs plugin (for remote zfs storage), use iscsi, and do the vm disk
snapshots
with zfs snapshot commands.(through ssh), to create zvol snapshots.
I meant, that one we can take through web admin
which webadmin ? proxmox ? you zfs storage admin ?

I think we could at least add a check for free space on backup storage.
(maybe something like : minimum free space = total size of disks vm.).
We can't known how much compression will be done.
But of course this bug should be fixed.

why do you use qcow2 file on top of cephfs ??
you should use ceph as a block device through rbd.
(performance will be awfull with qcow2 on top of cephfs)

Hello guys
I've posted patch for this to pve-devel when it was 3.10-3... Still not
applied. But I'm using that kernel with patch built by Alexandre DERUMIER.
What patch exactly?

I think we have discuted about this some months ago
We need to use IO::Socket::IP instead IO::Socket::INET in Daemon.pm.
to be able to listen on both ipv4 and ipv6
maybe for proxmox 4.0 ?

Hi,
yes the change is here:

Now, you really need to specify the boot device.

No, I have not found that at all. Our benchmarks and usage tests bear this
out.
I just want to warning you that cephfs is not considered as stable by ceph team.

I'm interested if you can to have some benchmark (fio for example) between rbd

A lot of users on ceph mailing have reported problem with samsung evo drives,
mainly because they are pretty slow for O_DSYNC writes
See this for benching them.

Does this bug affects Proxmox ?
yes, any qemu is affected.
As far as I'm aware, there's no option to add Floppy device to the VMs, not
through the GUI at least.
It's not about floppy device, it's about floppy controller, which is embedded
in virtual qemu motherboard (and can't be removed).
corosync2 have a new feature:
dynamic token timeout
https://github.com/corosync/corosync/wiki/Corosync-2.3.4-Release-Notes
I think it could be usefull to scale up without too much tuning.

Hi,
Are there any plans to add Guest Agent integration in to PVE ?
It's already done, but not exposed in GUI.
just add
agent: 1
in your vmid.conf.
Specifically:
- Show guest OS uptime in PVE
not implemented (not sure it can be done with guest agent ?)
- Allow to quiesce guest disks
