I've been unable to start PyMOL from recent subversion builds. It worked
in r2738 but fails in 2740 and newer (possibly 2739 as well, didn't
check). Here's what I get:

Just for the record everyone:
PyMOL's automatic logging facility is currently unreliable. That is because
emphasis has shifted to PyMOL Session files (.PSE) instead, which are a more
robust and convenient way of preserving "state" and for sharing content with
Hi,
I don't know whether it is a bug or not. I opened a pdb file, selected
a residue by left-clicking it, and hided it. When I resumed the
project using the log file, the residue was still there. It seems that
sele is not valid in log file. Following is what is in the log file.

Hello all,
I was hoping someone could tell me what I am doing wrong. I have on many
occasions produced nice pictures of my models using pymol, some for
publication. However, I occasionally run into the problem where I load
pdbs or run a .pml file, and the picture on the screen looks like pie

Hi Neil,
what's exactly the output of pymol when it's "crashing". Are you using

Dear All,
I wrote a while ago asking for advice with PyMOL crashing a Suse10.0
graphics workstation.
I thought I'd better also report that we (eventually) traced the problem
to the graphics card itself (an nvidia 6600GT). Whilst this card
appeared totally stable within Windows, it obviously
Hi,
I have downloaded and instaled pymol v99_rc6 on my system, AMD X2

It may be that the secondary structure information is not set

'dss' or if that fails you can try to resort to 'util.ss' which may do
the trick. Alternatively, you can set the secondary structure
information manually, us
