Re: [QGIS-it-user] QGIS 3 - errore Python

2018-02-27 Thread Leonardo Donnini

Buongiorno,

Ora come mi devo muovere ?

C:\Users\leonardo\Downloads\http%3a%2f%2fdownload.osgeo.org%2fosgeo4w%2f\x86_64\release

Grazie

non saprei, in ambiente *nix sarebbe bastato: find . -name \*.pyc

Betreff: [Qgis-user] Looking for Spatial Query plugin on QGIS 3.1.0-Master

Hello all,

New to qgis, really enjoying the learning curve. I'm looking for the functions
that seem to be built in to the Spatial Query plugin, however I can't seem to
find the plugin through the built in plugin manager or on plugins.qgis.org

To be clear, I'm looking for the plugin refereed to in this documentation
https://docs.qgis.org/2.8/en/docs/user_manual/plugins/plugins_spatial_query.html
or even at point 22 of
http://www.qgistutorials.com/en/docs/performing_spatial_queries.html

Has it been renamed or integrated into the core?

Thanks!

All the best,

Colm O'Neill

[Qgis-user] QGIS3: turn off scientific notation on feature identify

2018-02-27 Thread Tobias Wendorff
Hi there,

is it possible to switch the scientific notation to the normal one
when identifying a feature?

Right now, values like "417600" are displayed as "4.176e+06".
Seems like printf with %g is used?

Best regards,
Tobias

  )

Grazie in anticipo.

[Qgis-user] Looking for Spatial Query plugin on QGIS 3.1.0-Master

2018-02-27 Thread Colm O'Neill

Hello all,

New to qgis, really enjoying the learning curve. I'm looking for the
functions that seem to be built in to the Spatial Query plugin, however
I can't seem to find the plugin through the built in plugin manager or
on plugins.qgis.org

To be clear, I'm looking for the plugin refereed to in this
documentation
https://docs.qgis.org/2.8/en/docs/user_manual/plugins/plugins_spatial_query.html
or even at point 22 of
http://www.qgistutorials.com/en/docs/performing_spatial_queries.html

Has it been renamed or integrated into the core?

Thanks!

All the best,

Colm O'Neill

C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python/plugins\processing\algs\help\
C:/OSGEO4~1/apps/qgis/./python/plugins\MetaSearch\dialogs\

necessario
fare pulizia in altre cartelle o sottocartelle.

Facci sapere.

Re: [Qgis-user] Mac OS X building QGIS 3 dev on a clean machine!

2018-02-27 Thread John Harrop
Absolutely agree with your points David. I used to have time at work I could
commit to development, which I miss. Years ago I contributed a little to the
3d fixes for GRASS and I’ve been involved with other largish builds in the
past. I agree its not intended for everyone but there is an attraction to it
as a puzzle. Motivation at the moment is:

1) there was a push, on the QGIS web site for testing of prerelease 3. This
seems to have been much easier for Windows than OS X and I have a strong
personal interest n seeing the OS X support since QGIS is crucial on that
platform where the choices are much more limited.

2) there have been some geology related discussions about specifying and
developing some plugins that will be a very important step in establishing QGIS
as a platform of choice for drill hole work. I can’t look at this in much
detail util I have at least a QGIS3 beta running.

3) you probably would agree that is not often possible to do a really clean
install where you can check dependancies and conflicts carefully. There are
always other things that have been added and decisions made about
configuration. A clean, just rebuilt machine is a good opportunity for that so
I don’t want to waste it.

Thanks for your comments. I think I’ll follow the MacPorts root and probably
head to their forums. But I’m open to contact from here - please don’t
hesitate.

Re: [Qgis-user] Free/Open Data Maps list

2018-02-27 Thread Nicolas Cadieux
Hi,

The Quickmap plugin is indeed full of data specially if you add the extra
providers in the plugin settings. Most importantly, it gives you an idea of
who is giving what data. After that, you can find the original data (much more
useful) from the provider. I do the same thing with wms. If you google ,for
example, “wms Canada nrcan”, you will find many links to various servers
providing wms layers. After that, you can search for the original data
sources from these providers.

It could also help if you specify the region you are working on.
Cheers!

[QGIS-it-user] Specificare la versione

2018-02-27 Thread Marco Spaziani
segnalazioni postate in lista contengano sempre, in premessa, l'indicazione

e come single tile.

Grazie

2018-02-27 Thread Nicolas Cadieux
Hi,

Seems like the problem came from a nabble account created on Osgeo site to
access the Qgis Québec user list. Both the nabble account and my subscription
to the Qgis user list had the same email. Seems like I was receiving the Qgis
user list messages via the nabble archive service and not via the actual list.
I do not know how that actually happened and nothing was indicating me this was
happening. So I was writing to the list using my Qgis user list membership but
receiving the replies via the nabble archive service. Thanks Alexandre and
Richard for your help.

Cheers!

[Qgis-user] More QGIS 3D features - needs your help

2018-02-27 Thread Saber Razmjooei
Dear QGIS users,

QGIS 3 is out with lots of new features, amongst them QGIS 3D. The feature
was kindly sponsored by QGIS.org. We have put in the place the basics of 3D
in this release, but hoping to add more features and better user experience
for QGIS 3.2.

We are running a crowd-funding campaign to raise fund for the development.
Here is the link to more details of our proposal:

https://www.lutraconsulting.co.uk/crowdfunding/more-qgis-3d/

Your support for this campaign is highly appreciated.

Regards,
Saber

Re: [Qgis-user] Mac OS X building QGIS 3 dev on a clean machine!

2018-02-27 Thread David Liontooth

Hi John,

Vince at Macports has been responsive to packaging requests and appears
to have done a great job, though last I looked there were still some
features missing, such as the qgis3 server. Ideally we'd have 2-3 teams
working on it. I don't know how homebrew works, but let's assume they
have someone who would figure out the qgis3 build for everyone else's
benefit: in that case, you could support that person by testing his
builds. In my book, qgis users shouldn't all be spending their time
trying to figure out the intricacies of the build process; it's not
something we need to keep reinventing.

If you're starting from scratch, I'd give macports a try. If you run
into a problem, submit a detailed bug report; you might for instance
catch dependencies Vince missed.

Hello all,

After spending my spare time trying to get QGIS3 to build on my MacBook Pro
I’ve had some success clearing away dependancy problems, but I still always end
up with one that prevents the configuration stage or the build fails very early
on. (Thanks David for your previous advice.)

Starting today (the silver lining of having a disk fail on an iMac at home) I
have a clean High Sierra (10.13.x) to work on. There is no Anaconda creating
competing python installs yet. There is no commitment to MacPorts or Homebrew,
although the MacPorts seems to be doing better in my build attempts over the
last couple of weeks.

I would appreciate any comments and recommendations for a building on a clean
Mac. I would be pleased to record and report how this goes for sharing here as
well. I get the feeling there are a good number of other Mac users out there
with similar interests in supporting testing of QGIS 3.

For QGIS 2.x there is the Quickmapservices-Plugin for various Background
maps, as far as I know, it is not yet ported to QGIS 3

As far as DTMs are concerned, there are different websites, where you
can download such data (ASTER & Co.), a nice compilation is
