Re: [QGIS-it-user] Apertura FileGeodatabase su Linux

2019-01-16 Thread Amedeo Fadini
Ciao Marco,

https://www.gdal.org/drv_pgeo.html

Ma ricordo un bug nell' aprire i file mdb in QGIS, per cui la versione 2.8
potrebbe incappare in quello:

https://issues.qgis.org/issues/16039

Se possibile ti consiglio di convertirli con ogr2ogr

With the vertex tool enabled, right click on a vertex and then you can
enter X and Y.

[Qgis-user] troubleshooting: point shapefile (from Excel table) does not display after CRS change

2019-01-16 Thread Ana Marques
Hi everyone,

I used an Excel file to create a point vector shapefile in WGS84. The
original table in the Excel file has a X and Y column with coordinates in
WGS84. So far so good, this first shapefile displays well in QGIS projects.

But I need the shapefile in EPSG:27700, so I followed the training manual's
instructions on "Saving a Dataset to Another CRS" to create a new shapefile
with the right CRS:

   - Right-clicked on the point layer in the Layers list
   - Selected Export > Save Features As
   - ...

[Footnote: The dialog window that shows up in my PC (Windows 7) is not
exactly the same as in the manual (Mac) so I am not sure if I have set all
the options correctly.]

Now the Problem: I add this new point vector shapefile (in EPSG:27700) to a
QGIS project, it appears listed in the layers list, but the points do not
display on the map, even if I add it as vector layer to a new project
having previously defined EPSG:27700 as the CRS for all new projects. The
attribute table of the vector shapefile in EPSG:27700 seems the same as the
original Excel file (which has XY in WGS84) - are the EPSG:27700
coordinates stored but not visible?

   1. Do you have any recommendations on how to make the point vector
shapefile in EPSG:27700 display on the map?
   2. When saving the shapefile in the new CRS, which layer options should
   I use (e.g.: Resize: yes/no, etc.)?

I have QGIS Desktop 3.4.1 (started off with 3.2.2 but the problem remains).
I am new to QGIS so maybe I am missing something really obvious...

Thanks in advance,
Ana

The Lat Lon Tools plugin does this. Select a point layer that is editable
and then you use "Lat Lon Digitize"

[Qgis-user] Advanced digitising coordinate entry for a single point

2019-01-16 Thread Tim Sutton
Hi

In QGIS 3.x we have the nice integration with the advanced digitising panel for
lines and polygons. Do we have any capability to capture a point by entering
coordinates? In 2.x we had the numerical vertex editor plugin but that isn’t
available in 3.x yet.

Hi Nicolas,

Thanks for the feedback, you correct in that reducing the size does not change
anything! I will try out the other Raster calculators in the processing toolbox
to see if they work while I wait on an install of the latest QGIS version.

Hi,

Comprising the file will probably not change anything. Either the matrix hight
and width is too big for the memory or your are running into a new problem.
The calculator was modified. It can now handle very big rasters at a decent
speed. (Bravo team!) you could use the saga calculator or the gdla_calc. Both
your files will need to have the same extent, CRS and pixel posting for those
algorithms to work. There is a algorithm in the raster menu that will help you
match the files. Beware of the effects this will have on the data.

Re: [Qgis-user] prevrnt overlapping

2019-01-16 Thread st_kiefer
Hi Boaz,
this is kind of tricky, particularly, if the points in every single layer are
not absolutly congruent.

a) if points are congruent (or if the offset of the points are euqal and in
same direction in each layer), you might set an offset in the symbol-settings.
You can set an offset for the simple marker. But if points are not congruent or
randomly dispersed, this might lead to no nice results.

b) you combine all layers (you might distinguish them by an additional
attribute if necessary) and use "Point displacement" in the symbols-settings.

c) you transform layers to shift points to distinct locations.

Hope that helps.

regards.

Re: [Qgis-user] Unable to make qgis server work in QGIS 3.4.3

2019-01-16 Thread Reginald
Thanks Andreas,

You put me on the right track.
I tried setting environment variables in httpd.conf:
FcgidInitialEnv QGIS_DEBUG 1
FcgidInitialEnv QGIS_SERVER_LOG_FILE "C:\OSGeo4W64\var\log\qgisserver.log"
FcgidInitialEnv QGIS_SERVER_LOG_LEVEL 0
but apache wouldn't start anymore
As I'm using Windows7 I am running XAMMP.
In XAMPP I could see output to the error.log indicating that :
Unable to find driver ECW to unload from GDAL_SKIP
Unable to find driver JP2ECW to unload from GDAL_SKIP
So I thought there might be something wrong with my GDAL installation, also
because the day before I reinstalled postgis and had to set a GDAL variable.
So I reinstalled GDAL en GDAL-dev.
Now I am able to show the layers in the wms but I don't know yet how I can
set the white colour as transparant as it covers the other layers. In the

Any idea how to solve this?

Gillen,

a lot of changes have been done on the raster calc lately, can you test
latest master version?

Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS SERVER 3.4.2 - download WFS GetFeature result as Shapefile

2019-01-16 Thread umbertofilippo
I ended up using ogr2ogr (which is already shipped with QGIS) and with which
I was able to develop a Download button that can export the WFS to
Shapefile, CSV, DXF, and KML.
I think this is the best solution (although I had to write a little PHP
script in order to do that) because it's basically independent of the type
of GIS server used (should work with WFS generated with QGIS but also
Mapserver amn Geoserver).

Re: [Qgis-user] Unable to make qgis server work in QGIS 3.4.3

2019-01-16 Thread Andreas Neumann

Hi Reginald,

There is an issue (bug) in QGIS server 3.4.x  - that you cannot yet
request a top layer (I mean the one top layer coming from the project).
Instead you have to request a group or leaf layer.

A fix for that is coming soon - but perhaps you ran into this issue.

As to debugging: have you looked into the QGIS server log file? See
https://docs.qgis.org/testing/en/docs/user_manual/working_with_ogc/server/config.html#logging
- if you choose log level 0, you should get a lot of information - see
also
https://docs.qgis.org/testing/en/docs/user_manual/working_with_ogc/server/config.html#qgis-server-log-level

Greetings,

Andreas

Older projects made with a previous QGIS version still work as expected.
Has something changed in the way that webservices should be made?
I tried making a service with spatialite layers and with postgis layers but
no succes on QGIS 3.4.3.
How can I debug the service? When I use 'test configuration' everything is
fine.

[QGIS-it-user] Apertura FileGeodatabase su Linux

2019-01-16 Thread Marco Li Volsi

Buon giorno a tutti.

Qualche idea?

Grazie.
