Good point, I have just opened up my Z88 PSU and there is a 7805 5Volt regulator in it. So if you buy a adapter It would be a good idea to build a small regulator circuit with a 7805. You need the regulator itself. 2 0.1uF caps connect one across the input to the regulator and one across the outp

Hi Malcolm The answer is 6.5 Volts at 500mA. The connections, are pin(inner connection) positive, and the ring(outer connection) negative. An original power supply seems to give less than the 6.5 volts it says on the case, typical output is around 6.25 volts. There is diodeD23) protection agains

Hi Malcolm, the Z88 Needs 6v (plus or minus 10% will do) at 500MA - Adaptors are readily available from Maplins etc. for about a tenner or less. I can't remember offhand if it is a positive tip or negative - I will look it up tonight when I get home and email again tomorrow. I use Lithium Ion

Wolfgangs alterations to the licence seem to be well thought out and a good compromise (thankyou) - I just hope that this now appeals more to Peter and Richard. Rich Mellor RWAP Software 7 Common Road, Kinsley, Pontefract, West Yorkshire, WF9 5JR TEL: 01977 614299 http://hometown.aol.co.uk/rwapso
