Hi

I would be around on Saturday or Sunday for a chat as well.
I could offer our company offices in Sursee as host.

Would really be nice to see you, Jon and hopefully others!

Urs

Betreff: [ql-users] Visit to Switzerland

Next week I will be in Swtzerland (Schaffhausen) to visit my grandmother who
will be 95 on Tuesday.

Is it possible to organize a mini QL meeting only for me? In fact I would
like to speak with Jon Dent, any day/time between Thursday 10 and Tuesday
15.

Arnould

Hi again

By the way don't worry about trying either Marcels or my version of the
programs on your mail account. All mails are left in takt for you to
download in the usual way after previewing them.

If you do spot a mail you would rather not download the command to
delete a mail is DELE n where n is the number of the mail you wish to
delete. You could add your own lines.

Marcels version has added some polish :-)
now what about some GD2 colour someone ;-)

Jon, should this work equally on soql, QPC2 v3.30 and uQLx TCP/IP?

 Dilwyn Jones

It should work on uQLx. soQL doesn't have a TCP_ device as jet.
The device driver itself would be quite simple as its not a directory
device. But without an underlying operating system as on an emulator
it's difficult to see how to get the connection made while the device
driver is in supervisor mode and soQLengin (daemon) can't run.

Set code du pays to 33.

 present, replace xx by 33.

I think Ian said he was using a Swiss French keyboard which is hardly like
the French keyboard at all. In fact it is much more like the
Swiss German (sg) keyboard with the é/ö key set to default to é
with shift é being ö etc.

If this sounds familiar to you Ian I would gladly supply you my nearly
finished sg keyboard table.

You would then have to use (something like) :

i=RESPR(1024):LBYTES win1_SYSTEM_sg_kbd,i:KBD_TABLE i

in you boot file to load it.

You could then use Wolfgang's very excellent keyboard configurator (clavier)
to swap round the ö/é shifted and nonshifted key configurations.

If you want to give it a go Ian, let me know and I will supply you with the
necessary files, as I was so kindly supplied them by members of [ql-users]
not so many months ago.

Jon.

P.S. nearly finished means I haven't dealt with the Alt Gr keys properly yet
and have set them up as HOT_KEY's in my boot at the moment.

Anyone else tried the QDT Demo supplied with QL Today yet ?

I haven't been able to read the disk supplied with Toady. :-(

[ql-users] QPC with flopy disk F: ?

2005-01-02 Thread Dent
Sorry if this is an FAQ but it's quicker to ask here than search for a
reference that may not be there ;-)

I would like to associate QPC's flp1_ with a USB floppy. My notebook only
very rarely has an A: drive which I have to swap with the CD drive.

Any chance ?

Jon.

 Hi Jon,

the first USB floppy (or USB stick with floppy
 functionality/bootability) becomes drive A: if
 available, otherwiese drive B:

That's how it worked here on several laptops.

Unfortuately not here; maybe a win98 feature ;-)

I've installed on QPC. It took 2 attempts. The first time I ran into a
file
name length problem. Solved by not trying to put QPT in win1_SYSTEM_QPT_
but
 win1_QPT_

It works now and all I can say is WOW!!!

I meant QDT not QPT of course

Clavier is a WLenerz program IIRC. You can get it also from Thierry's

Sorry I don't understand this.
How do freeserve/Wanadoo block our mails? If we don't use them.
How can we reach an SMTP server on a port other than 25?
