The zx-81 power supply has a 3.5 jack plug the ones used by mono headphones. The spectrum power supply has a different plug i don't know the name of these they are round and have a hole in the middle.You cant plug them into a zx-81. To cut things short if the plug fits the zx-81 its a zx-81
