Very well said! The Alpha and pack status must be established very soon
if not immeadiatly in the relationship. It does not mean hitting the dog,
it can be done with body language, tone of voice
being consistant and then when you tell him what to do-tell him 'once' and
then make him do it!

Here is the list I use as a guide for others to read when I'm looking for a
service dog prospect. It helps 'others' to know what I need rather than
just saying 'I need a friendly dog to be a service dog' and maybe someone
will say they have one and it turns out to be the opposite of what I

I've always preferred male dogs. Where as my brother only had 3 male dogs in
his life and I gave him 2 of those. Which in turn he gave them away and the
other got stolen. He says males are hard headed and harder 2 train. I've run
across a few males that seem 2 try you more than normal in

IU, Purdue, and Ball State have live in programs where you live on campus in
accessible housing while you are getting an education. This way you can
concentrate on you goal of getting a or multiple degrees while you are

I did my 4 at Wayne St. Univ in Detroit. They housed a bunch of
us across the main street from campus. I didn't need an attendant but some guys
did and the voc rehab paid all expenses. It was a tuff long haul but I
knew there was no other choice - I had to make use of my brain as my back
Thanks Dave. It means more coming from you than from me. Wayne State is a
very good college. I'm sure that you appreciated the close campus vs busing
from a house off campus. Always glad to hear that people like you do well.

Attending a college with a medical program for nursing or doctoring draws
help unlimited. Unless one finds a nurse Kratchet or dr. Frankenstein, you
should always find students looking for work in their field of endeavor.
Remember that it is always easier to give advise or suggestion to others.
