It's even in the teens here. I have baseboards so its crazy expensive so I use a space heater mostly in my room. It has a thermostat that I set on 65 while sleeping but hardly runs. When I wake up, I turn it up while I am getting dressed. I only run the heat in the living room while I am up

Welcome David! What is reasonable and what they want are 2 different avenues too. Also depends where you live (rural vs urban) and if they are just an aide or have some training (like CNAs). It seems $7/hour is appropriate. But here in Tucson ... NO ONE will work for less than $10 even
