Hi Linda.
When I am up in my wheelchair, I have no problems. I also have a chin drive
chair, I use a control collar around my neck. In my home. I have places
where I can have my water set up for me. I would just like to be able to
pick up my glass of wine when we are eating dinner and not have
Thanks Eric, I been doing some reading on powerchairs, seems none are
perfect, all seem to have good points and bad. I guess the reason for that is
that everyone has different needs depending on their level of injury or
disability and specific needs of each person vary. Dan H

I have a new powerchair that is sitting in my spare bedroom that I have only
been in about 5 times. It seems so much bigger than my Quickie320. My Quickie
is a chin drive, which is easy the new chair is a Quantum Blast has the
majatek drive system, which I'm having trouble learning

What is the majatek drive? I googled it, and got lots of Polish things!!
When I do wear a leg bag, it is usually in summer, and I am wearing shorts.
My daughter designed a combination leg rest and leg bag holder that replaces
the leg rest that are on the chair. I run the tube out, just under
W,
That is great advise, only I have not been able to try out w/c's. None at Rehab
Institute of Chicago, Hamilton's Technology in Indianapolis, Wheels n Motion,
Griffith, IN, or National Seating in South Bend. How do you try out
powerchairs?

Joan,
Your home sounds lovely ideal. You once mentioned you wanted a door opener, I
have a DoorMate would not recommend it for my dog because it is a piece of
JUNK!!!

Joan,

They did total it out - prob because it's so old - '97.
The good news is I had gap insurance which covers the difference between
market value (what the van is worth and what the ins company will pay) and the
amount I owe - a bigger number because of all the modifications made. So,...
My lender asked if I wanted it. It cost me 220 total and is valid while I
am upside down in my loan. I added it to my new vehicle too and they said to
contact the gap provider and tell them and they (the gap insurer) would
transfer 1000$ to the principle on my loan. how cool is

All you will really get is opinions. What do you need from a chair? I have
found that I am indoors or on pavement mostly, so center wheel drive works
best. If your crawling over terrain, front wheel drive is probably more your
style. If you want to eat carpets with it, get all wheel drive. Most
Bummer! glad you and your better half are ok. It looks like it may be fixable.
I hope it is. good luck.
