I'm sure that you've seen the older guy on TV doing the talk circuit who is
suffering from silver poisning.
His skin is purple and his long hair is silver. The results of drinking
large amounts of colliod silver water over several years. The damage is
ir-reversible and doctors say that he is healthy with exception to the obvious
skin color.

I watch TLC and the science channel a lot.
Saw a couple episodes of The Amazing Race but then thought they picked

Hey Guys
This is a first, last night Andrea myself had to be put to bed by
firefighters! It was snowing like crazy our CNA couldn't make it we
called the on call Nurse which refused to come over. Then our owner of our
Nursing Service wouldn't come over to put us in bed, I told her to call 311
see if fireman(rescue team) would help us out. We really didn't want to
sit up in our chairs all night. Shortly they came over gave us our meds,
emptied our catheter bags, give us water then used our hoyers to put us in
bed. They were good guys!

[QUAD-L] time to let it rest

2008-02-22 Thread Stacy Harim
Sorry to say this all but I think this conversation is getting out of hand.
People are reacting very strongly and with emotions. She has passed away and
whether or not it's her fault for starting the fire or she was put on hold, I
personally think it's time to just let this be.

I don't post often, but I do appreciate the list and everyone in it, however,
sometimes I just delete the whole mailbox because most of it is related to
things like this and I sometimes dont have the time or patience to go through
it. I could be saying this because I am having a rough go of it these days and
like to read posts that help me learn of things that are paralysis related.

I do appreciate other posts such as our discussions about dogs, vans,
wheelchairs or cute stories like Andrea being put to bed by some firefighters.
I even like to read about people's opinions about politics and even this story,
but sometimes it gets so emotionally charged that it almost crosses the line.

Like I said, I might be saying this because I am having a rough go of it and
maybe I don't have a place to say anything since I don't post as I should but
at the same time, this topic is beat.

This is JUST ONE of many cases that the media got ahold of...thus the
aftermath results in speculation, guesses and hypotheses and theories from
media to media and then person-to-person. Same with the guy in Florida who
was dumped out of his wheelchair. We'll never know the total story
unfortunately.

I do not have any children of my own but I am still very intrigued at to
what actually happened with the JonBenet Ramsey case. My husband has a
pretty good guess but it is still a guess. Case is closed forever until, by
some miracle, somebody does their job at the time it needs to be done.

RE: [QUAD-L] free list

2008-02-22 Thread Joan Anglin
Thank you Ron

Just because someone is interested in a particular subject doesn’t mean that
we have the right to tell them what to do. Those of us that use speech
recognition have it even easier JDon’t even have to move a muscle to delete!
Oh sorry, our mouth has a muscle, and so does our tongue, thank goodness
that our tongue muscle never tires. (learned that when I was fitted for a
tongue touch keypad back in the nineties)

It might take a minute or two extra to delete the files we don’t want to
read, and it is certainly made much easier if we maintain the subject matter
as we reply to things. IE starting a new subject line when we switch
subjects. I know I am guilty of that-but if we are not interested in a
subject just hit delete.

Have a great day tomorrow
