Re: [QUAD-L] free list

2008-02-23 Thread Stacy Harim
Yes I realize it's a free list and so Sorry to charge another debate, but I do
find issue with a list that is more willing to respond and say hurtfull or
hateful things then to respond to those that are here for what the list was
made for. I constantly have seen people post things looking for help or support
about things that have happened to them or if they are looking for a new chair.
that includes myself. I posted about needing another surgery which is pretty
serious. Even Andrea posted about firemen putting her to bed when nursing
wouldn't come out to do it. There were about 3 responses to mine, a few to
Andrea's and tons talking and debating over the poor woman that passed away.

I think if someone is gonna get angry about something, it should be about the
nurses that wouldn't come out to help them. It's a helth issue for someone to
stay in their chair all night. What if their catheter bags get full then back
up into their kidneys, not to mention pressure sores from sitting in the chair
all night especially if they are wet. Who knows what else they may have needed
if no one came out to help them. If we want to get so emotionally charged over
something then it should be that. They are still living and couldn't nursing
to come out. That poor woman is gone and anything we say isn't going to change
anything. Maybe 911 should ask disabled people what the circumstances are to
why they need help then decide if they will come out. If it's something they
caused, then we'll make you wait or not come at all because you deserve it.
We'll just save help for those that didn't cause it because they are the one's
who deserve it. Is
that right? The woman should be resting in peace. I know she's in a better
place but she didn't deserve to go that way.

Aren't we here to support eachother?

I was told to take it during and after. Also, I was told not to take it
within 2 hours of taking the antibiotics.

And it must have Live Cultures in it. There is also a pill you can take
that has the Live Cultures in it.

It's a chalky tasting, chewable, pill that must be kept refrigerated.
That's easier than eating so much yogurt.

[QUAD-L] wireless info

MyWirelessReview. com will be launched on 2/25 by the Rehabilitation
Engineering Research Center for Wireless Technologies (sponsored by the
Nat'l Institute on Disability Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) of the U.S.
Dept of Education

Over the years RERC has heard that choosing a wireless product can be
complicated and confusing. There are so many variables to consider and
compare - features and functions, service plans, prices, accessories, and
the hot new product on the market. Choosing one to fit your specific needs
can be overwhelming. Through the Survey of User Needs, hundreds of Consumer
Ad visors have told RERC that they are interested in evaluating a website
designed to help consumers make these choices.

the new site goes beyond simply providing information on product features by
creating a forum for customers to share their experiences using wireless
products. It connects you with fellow CAN members and others with abilities
similar to your own. You will be able to learn about which wireless products
people use, how they use them, and what they like or dislike about them.

I'm sorry you are losing your roomie and I wanted to apologize for referring to
Andrea's post when it was yours in my previous post. It is nice that you have
eachother. I personally don't know anyone in a chair. I did offer my services
to the rehab center that I was in to talk to anyone that has gotten a sci or is
just having a rough go of whatever happened to them. My therapist said they
only get a couple a year maybe but I think it's nice to have someone to lean on
