RE: [QUAD-L] 2nd time posting here

I know about being tired all the time. Just this week I stopped eating so much
junk trying to help my tiredness and motivation. I did not eat a lot, but a
slice of pie and a coke for breakfast I thought might not be the best thing.
Plus I started taking a daily vitamin. Pain meds I think is one big problem,
diet another. I get plenty of sleep, but I'm just tired with no energy. I'm
trying to eat a little throughout the day. One thing that you might want
checked is your Iron and Testosterone. My iron is low, but after 28 years in a
chair, my testosterone was at the very bottom of the charts. I can't stop my
pain meds, I tried. I've cut them down as much as I can. I tried an energy
drink with no success. I have to force myself to get out. Once I'm out I enjoy
myself, but I just keep think... Maybe next week I'll go out. I guess a nap in
the afternoon is not bad, but the constant... drowsiness... gets tiring.

Yep! I tell this to people often. I wish it was 'just that'.

Greg, do you exercise regularly? I find that when I exercise I'm way more
energetic, lately I haven't been exercising much and I've noticed I feel pretty
tired and low in motivation. I think exercise and good nutrition is key to
feeling good. And watch your sugar intake, energy drinks are packed with sugar.

[QUAD-L] Most annoying things do to people using wheelchairs

2010-05-16 Thread Nancy P

Hi all,

First, thanks for all your responses on this list about the survey the Reeve
Foundation ran about the Most Annoying Things People Do to People Using
Wheelchairs.  Bobbie, Dianna, AZDave, Dan, Ron, Bob, Stacy, Lisette -- great
comments all (and if I missed anyone, my bad, appreciated all the feedback).

And Nancy, we loved your idea about nice things people can do for people using
wheelchairs - some of the subsequent discussion in our community has focused on
that, but we may do a separate thread on that in the future.

If you want to see the final results of the Top 10 Most Annoying, they're
posted at http://bit.ly/aMHs3o

The conversation about this is still going strong, too -- if you want to chime
in, you can post your comments at http://bit.ly/9mTSSV (registration required,
but it's minimal and quick)

Finally, apologies for a couple spammy posts that came to this list from my
email account.  Appears my account was hacked and I didn't realize it 'til I
got a notice my Yahoo password had been changed and I saw a couple messages
supposedly from me in my inbox.  Please be assured that neither I nor the Reeve
Foundation has any special deals on designer watches, needs help moving
treasury funds out of Nigeria, or is offering  to refinance your home. :)

Best,

Nancy Purcell (the real one)
