Does a quadra need that card to decode vcd's? Does it work on svcd also? AFAIK, the answer to the former is yes, and the answer to the latter is no. VCD is MPEG-1, SVCD is MPEG-2 (like a DVD but on CD media). It takes significantly more resources to decode MPEG-2, and the codecs are not the
