Thanks again Jim, I found the control under the glove box, and as you said
there were lots of black wires into a black plug and multi-coloured into a
white plug. When purchased in 2003 I got loads of paperwork and suddenly
remembered that previous owner from new used to holiday in France and
O.K. thanks for that. I've only seen similar in TXT fields.

shown below. I have never seen a 2nd option like this and not a mail
prefix. Normally I thought it was a 2nd choice NS with a similar name and
(+1). It may be worth a check?

Assuming it’s fairly big, maybe 150 x 100 x 40mm then, yes, thats the main box
for the alarm.
The hazards should flash on arm / disarm.
The dash light should go out when the alarm is disabled but it will auto rearm
after a min or so unless you turn the ignition on.

Firstly a silly question, have you checked the battery in the remote isn't
flat, there is a led on the remote but it will still flash even if there's
not enough power in it to send a signal.
I seem to remember the texalarm on my 2+2 stop responding to the remote a
couple of times.
