I think a Lenovo is the way to go...the Qubes developers use them, the X1/Gen5 was mentioned as being popular with them. I googled and Max Ram is 16, however I went from 8-12 and more then satisfied with improvement. I wanted the X1 but thought it was out of my budget and thought I would look
