had no other report of this kind of problem and haven't observed it myself.

Dear Simon,
As you know, I have an interest in Tcl/Tk as developer of the Rcmdr package.
It would be nice if use of R Tcl/Tk applications could be made as convenient
and aesthetically pleasing for Mac users as for Windows users.
