OK! I guess there are a few things to check:
* What version of Ruby?
* Can you see the images themselves in the public/images/admin?
* If I remember correctly, you're using Radiant 0.7.1?

If the original copy and paste was correct (below), then there is a
superfluous period between the image name and the ?1234695998. No
idea what would cause that though, but it's likely that's what's
breaking your images.
