Hello every body,
We are using NasType AscendSNMP in our radiator.cfg. Last week some
NASes lost connectivity with aur Radiator, some but not all of them. And
that caused Radiator was unable to authenticate users. Even, users that
were trying to connect on NASes that responded
hi there.
we've been using Radiator for quite a while as a proxy, twiddling

Sun Radius to Radiator.

Hello everyone,
I am having the same problems that Paul is having.
We recently upgraded from Radiator 2.13 on Solaris 2.6
to Radiator 2.16.1 on Solaris 2.7. While we have had no
problems at all with authentication, our logging seems to
quit on us after just a few hours. The logfile
Hi all,
I have a quick question on perl regex handlers. I am trying to make a
handler that says any UserName containing "@" that is not followed by
wyoming.com. This is what I have worked up, but I am not a perl guru, can
anyone help me out here?

Hello Wim,
this is a straight bug in 2.16.3. I have attached a fix for it (a new version
of AuthRADIUS.pm), plus uploaded the fix to the patches area.
Thanks for reporting this.
Cheers.

Hello Vicente -
This is one of the problems with strict session limit checking - if
you lose connectivity with the NAS(s) you have a problem. The best
way to deal with this is to configure a backup radius server in your
NAS(s) and run a second copy of Radiator as the backup without strict
Hello Timothy -
This is a Cisco configuration issue that has been discussed on the
list before. There is a configuration option you need to set, so do a
search on the archive:

Hello Jesus -
This is because you are dealing with two different transactions - the
authentication request and the accounting request. The

Hello Nguyen -
The latest version of Radiator is 2.16.3. I recommend that you
download it and use that as there is much improved LDAP support.

Hello James -
The log below appears to show that the LDAP server has stopped
responding for some reason. I have copied this mail to Mike to see if
he has any ideas.

Hello Rishi -
The log shown below appears to be correct (Access-Accept). I
suspect your problems are Cisco configuration issues. You can send me
the Cisco log if you like, but I am not sure I will be able to
help.

Hello Bruno -
You can add an Identifier to the AuthBy LDAP2 clause and then access
it in the hook with something like this:
my $authby = Radius::AuthGeneric::find('your_identifier');
then you can use all the internal routines like this:
my $rc = $authby-.

Hi James, there were several changes in the LDAP connection handling between
2.13 and 2.16.1, and there is a note in the history file that there is a fix in
2.16.2 for problems with limited file handles which sounds relevant.
Suggest you upgrade to the recent 2.16.3.
Cheers.
On Aug 29,
I want 3 users, who dial into our NAS, who after being authenticated are
automatically directed to a particular web site - Are there any reply items
or any way for that matter in Radiator RADIUS which will allow this
auto-redirection ?
I have the 3 users defined in my 'users' flat file.
Pls.
Hello All,
We've been running for a long time with Microsoft LDAP. I can tell you
Microsoft has it's own LDAP standard. It returns all of their attribute
values with a 'null termination' character. By doing some chopping of the
found LDAP attributes you'll see that your perfect password will
