They aren't even available to order on the UK site yet, although oddly
the Touch is.

I almost pulled the trigger on the red one last night in the logitech
store, but evidently the logitech store wants sales tax. Why in the
world would I need to pay sales tax in Tennessee. Does logitech have a
storefront anywhere in Tn? Because if you don't, you shouldnt be taking
sales tax..
same for me! I ordered mine on the 30th of Sept. and 1h ago I received
the confirmation that it is on its way home!! (which is btw in
vienna/austria)
can't wait any more to old the SBR in my hands!!

1. How does it handle being unplugged and replugged? I.E. does the
alarms I have set remain in place etc.
Yes. Alarms are stored on the server (except the next scheduled one
which is also stored locally in case the network is lost).
2. Similar to the above. How does
Amazon US still has the Radio marked as pre-order but my order has just

I just went to logitech.no and you can only preorder there.
The Swiss site won't even allow a preorder...

By power- and network surge I simply mean power and network failure or

No problem, just confused me because surge means too much of
something rather than too little :) Alarms will sound as long as it has
power from either
I got my first two Radio's delivered while at the office today. Just now
I got back home and connected the baby to SBS and powered it up.
However, I have serious sound quality issues. The Radio seems to have
big issues with playing a lot of my WMA Lossless based music connection.
I have the Boom

Yeah, I was just comparing the wording difference - shipping soon
against not yet shipped.

Congrats on getting yours shipped :) I probably would have if I hadnt
canceled an order for a red one and put in for a black one later.
Its kind of interesting that amazon still says preorder however.

A friend wants to get SQB Radio or maybe the Boom. Is the Squeezebox
Server required for the initial setup of either of these? He only has a
Nettop at home with very little storage space left in the SD card. So,
no room to install the Squeezebox server. I want to avoid having to
bring my laptop
Oh no, I hate those discount codes. They make it so hard to resist
buying one. If only the battery pack was available now.

Seems like an oversight -- and since the data is digital, this seems
possibly easy to fix in the firmware.
Is is known if control of bass and treble will be added?

Yes, I believe that this is planned as feature for a future firmware
update.

Glad to hear it -- as it's unlikely I'd buy a Squeezebox radio without
some control over the tone.
I already own two small non-IP radios that deliver too much bass
(perhaps to produce a big sound) -- and don't like them for that
reason.
