Hi:
I ordered a Squeezebox radio for my parents, who are not techno savvy
at all. They enjoyed the radio and the streams from around the world,
but it seems that they fumbling with the control always messes up the
settings, particularly the preset stations. I then have to go fix it
in person, w

Thanks. Will try tomorrow. The problem is with BBC 2,4,5 and 7
irrespective of whether I select them via the menu system or the
preselect buttons. Sometimes I can trigger the sound by selecting one
of the two 'working' preselect stations first but it does not always
work.

The Boom also has the advantage of backlit buttons (which apart from the
power button are unlit when you turn it off). I find the Radio a pain to
use beside the bed in the dark/near dark with its unlit buttons.
I also find the dimmed Boom display less distracting than the dimmed
Radio display.
I would also recommend the Boom over the Radio. The Boom is much better
as an alarm clock and has lots of dimming options like the Pure.

Don't give up on the Radio yet - which BBC stations are you having a
problem with? Is it only when you select them from the presets?
You can install a third party addition to the radio which will also
give you access to listen again streams from the last week of the BBC.
It also uses slightly d
Bought this radio 4 weeks ago and used it as an internet radio only,
making use of all 6 pre-set buttons. 2 days ago I also accessed music
on my PC and since then I am unable to get any sound on 4 BBC stations
that were on the pre-set buttons, even when I select them afresh.

It seems to work pretty good for people that are running a local
Squeezebox Server on a computer, but among the people who use
Logitech's central mysqueezebox.com server the p

Are you primarily looking for a music player or an alarm clock ?
I'm asking because the Squeezebox Radio is great as a music player and
clock but not so great as an alarm clock. The alarm functionality is a
few bugs, it works for some people but doesn't work reliable for
others.

I have to decide between the Pure Siesta Flow and this Logitech

Logitech Squeezebox device is more like me... some interesting views

Yes, there are a number of standard screen savers:

And a number of third party screen savers, for example these:

There are several clock options (analog/digital/transparent) you can
display at any modes (standby, playing, stop).

My report was for SBS only; I noticed today that the signal was choppy
at times on my Radio, and once or twice the stream stopped, but it's

Yup, both streams playing fine for me on both SBS and MySB.
SBS seems to take longer to load/buffer the stream, but they play fine.

I don't know if this happens to all my presets, but I just discovered it
does on a certain 1. I was listening to a station on my SB radio, in the
batchroom. When I had finished, I switched the SB to standby. 15 minutes
later, after taking the radio downstairs, I switched it back on. I had
