I've got an odd one, just acquired a second user UE Smart Radio, first
thing I noticed when I powered it up - no power on chime, also no sounds
as I navigated through the menus.
Anyway, factory reset it then "down(up)graded" to Squeeze Box Radio mode
and still no startup chime or once hooked

Dont cpnfuse it with another old never solved bug both touch and radio
can turn on the backligth on the screen when not conected to a server (
yes even withvthe "off" screensaver , you get a black screen with
backligth ) no sound or anything
The bug innthe topic is one of the odd ones i had
Both my Radio and Boom still occasionally come on at random times - no
alarms set and both on msb.com. When it happened more often, I realized
they were on the same stream and volume as when last played, so I
started running the volume down to 1 before turning them off. That way,

Probably just waking itself from Standby if it temporarily loses it's
connection to the server.

Just to add - that radio with the network errors in the log was playing
audio fine, so I would not have known if I had not looked in the log.
It is a wired connection, so why the wireless error was in the log I am
not sure, other than it was trying both for some reason. To clear up
the problem,

I've had various issues with the alarms, but most I've found a cause
for. Just to outline the setup. 3x Radios (2 on wireless) + Picore and
LMS on RPi2. The 4:47 problem happened once, and I was awake and
suddenly unable to sleep so had a look at the radio log and server
log(once powered).
