at such a heavily inflated price. What stopped
them from using a one of the standard Li battery pack with a
thermisistor on the pack or in the battery bay..
This is worse than what Logitech used to charge for mouse driver
"upgrades"

rdate... This is not the first linux appliance with date/time issues
that uses busybox... eventually an NTP client was integrated into
busybox, and an NTPd is in the next firmware release...
You can have a lean NTP client...

Im curious does the Squeezebox see Broadcast NTP packets and update its
clock accordingly?... I can understand why the person would want the
Squeezebox to run NTPD.. I'v seen many times when the squeezebox is off
by 2-3 minutes on the network.

you will have to fiddle with the volume to get it close to line-level
output, since as soon as you plug a cord into the headphone jack, the
volume drops

Thanks erland for the plugins.. but 0x has a good point, if anything an
option built in for a choice of UIs would be nice and still keep with
the general theme of the device.

it being too high when i disconnect it... even if you had
to just flip a checkbox manually after unplug it would be an

Wasnt sure if the remote REQUIRED the duet to work, or it could run any
squeezebox over the wifi network drectly.. Since iv seen a few *remote
only* setups for sale (no duet client box). Thanks for the reply
