Hi,
I noticed this after the latest firmware update. It seems to happen
when you switch the player out of standby to on but don't play anything
straight away and goes to this screen saver mode. As soon as you press
play or anything else the screen returns to normal. When you have the

So I guess I should file a bug then...

Hi Erland,
I am not sure the positioning fields are working as they should. See
attached for my current Custom Clock. The %A, %B %d, %Y is at position
199 in the options but looking at the dump it is around 212pixels down
the screen. I took the position to be a pixel count (0-240) but I guess

Hi Erland,
thanks for the reply. It was only that I didn't understand how the
positions were interpreted. I just need to play a bit more to learn how
the position numbers relate to the onscreen positions, I'll get it just
how I want it after a few more goes. Thanks for all the clarification,
Hi Erland,
that's fantastic, I can now see all the fields. I'll have a play when I
get a mo and post back the results.
Cheers

Hi erland,
thanks (again). I have custom clock helper installed and am trying to

There is a item1position which controls the vertical positioning.
Unfortunately there seems to be a bug in Custom Clock Helper so it isn't

Hi there
anyone else noticed the standard clock looks a bit weird? It's as
though each character takes a fixed width. It's fine when you have wide
characters eg 3:45 but at 4:15 there is too wider gap between the 1 and
the 5. Also centering is off when you have times before 10:00 (ie 3
numbers).
I know this is a dumb question but do you have to replace the
Clock/Alarm Backup Battery?

There is currently no backup battery, not sure what you are referring
to. The battery pack will go on sale in Jan/Feb (shipping in February I
believe).
Like any other

Does the SB Radio have anything like the following:
Boom has a local clock and a local power source to keep time in case of
power cut. Boom also remembers the next alarm time so that if
disconnected it will sound a alarm generated within Boom (currently a 5
tone alarm).
It says in the SB radio

Is this really working with the Boom? I tested again today: I set an
alarm, then pulled the power cord. No alarm on the Boom.
Boom has a supercap inside to keep the real time clock going during a
power outage. It does NOT have the power to run an alarm sound when power
is out, simply maintain

I live where we get lots of power outages during the winter. Will the
radio keep reasonably accurate time and still do an alarm if the wall
power is out? I presume that it would need a battery pack, but other
than that, do the alarms still work with no wall power?
I guess that if the internet
Since you live in an area with a lot of power outages, I highly
recommend connecting the Radio to an inexpensive UPS.
