I actually did the opposite several years ago migrated the UE radio to
squeezebox much better. no updates required for there's nothing wrong
with the current build
and the replacement fallowed by
I think the idea behind the UE redesign - not having to switch between
MySB and LMS if your LMS is not permanently running - was a good one and
something they should have done earlier.
However, at the time they didn't have enough of a team left to do it
right and nowadays thus becomes more and
Logitech claimed many customers were confused with SB players connecting
to two servers (MySB.com and LMS). I can certainly understand that. So

Found an upgraded. Logged into squeezebox and my player was there. Once
switched on showed a button to upgrade to UE. As there's an official way
back to squeezebox thought I'd try anyway.
Went smooth, shop far can't see any difference though? Why did Logitech
do this for?

Squeezebox is better supported.
If you only use it with the online services (MySqueezebox.com or
UESmartRadio.com) i think these days the only difference between the two
systems are the smartphone apps you can use to control them.
For UE there's only Logitech's, which no longer works on some

You went back to squeezebox? There's an official way now reading on
Logitech website to go back.
Do you mean you dumped the whole system or went back to squeezebox? Why
did you dump UE?

Is this just to stream tracks from your Mac/PC to the squeezebox? If so

I think that 7.7.8 is only for the SBTouch.
It's 7.8.0, and yes, it's Touch only. There's no new firmware for the Radio.

I've just let the SB update to 7.7.3 and says no more updates.
Will I have to install Logitech Media Server again on my Mac to get
this? What is the advantages of these newer update? Why won't they
update not

I've just dusted off my squeezebox radio that I haven't used for ages.
On the settings it says there's an update to v7.7.3, but a quick Google
looks like there is a 7.7.8.
Should I update? If I goto 7.7.3 will I then see the 7.7.8? Is it worth
the update? I thought squeezebox was gone as a
