This is what Ubiquiti say:
-"The main purpose of enabling band steering is to decongest the 2.4GHz
due to the high number of users connected. Band steering allows users to
connect to a 5GHz band which provides faster speed, and less
interference, thus reducing the congestion on the 2.4 GHz.
Whatever is going on it seems to be related to the AP or router
settings. In my case one Radio (UE version) lost wifi after about 12
hours following a reboot but the Logitech original Radio's had no
problem. I saw both the red and blue icons. I tried a Vonets ethernet
bridge and that would not

All on latest community f/w. One UE which fails to connect, two Logitech
which have no problem
I have a full Unifi system with four AP's (no Wi-Fi 6) and I lost
connection to one of my three Radio's last week. Tried installing
wlanpoke with no improvement and tried two different Vonets bridge's but
neither would connect reliably. Whilst troubleshooting I found both the
Radio and Vonets
WiFi6 is already out of date as WiFi6E (Extended) is now rolling out but
not backward compatible with standard 6 devices, obviously. Hot on the
heels is WiFi7 offering 4x the speed of WiFi6.

For the first time ever one of my Radio's lost its bass response this
morning despite it running the latest community firmware. Seems the
issue is still not fixed.

I am using Unifi with 5 Switches, 4 AP Lite's, single SSID, latest
Controller 6.0.45 and 4.3.24 AP f/w. My two Radio's have never
disconnected. Controller setings are prety much those 'out of the box'.
I have 'Prefer 5G' and 'Meshing' enabled. There are 34 WiFi clients.
One thing I have

My Radio behaved like that when I had two instances of LMS running on
two separate PC's.

Brilliant idea! I was thinking a dongle would need its own PSU but that
is an elegant solution.

You could try installing a Unifi AP-AC Lite access point. I have four of
them and the Wi-Fi is rock solid. They make very good and affordable
'prosumer' kit which has transformed our house Wi-Fi and we now have 40
clients (iOS, Android, IOT etc etc) and nothing fails. You will need to

Try any channel other than 6. I had this problem and I can replicate it
simply by switching the AP to Channel 6 when the device disappears from
LMS. The Radio (and one of my Boom's) works perfectly on Ch 1 and 11.
Worth a try!
Do you know what channel the Faraday Radio is on, and what channel the
native Radio is on? I have had problems with my Radio and Boom dropping
WiFi when connected to Channel 6; C1 and C11 cause no problem. force
your AP/Router to use either 1 or 11 and try again.
Works for me in the UK from LMS > Radio > Search > Classic FM

You need to have posted a minimum number of times (3 or 5 IIRC) to be
able to send a PM.

Not tried the AI optimise myself as we do not have much interference
although the 'Connect high performance clients to 5 GHz only' works
well. Fast Roaming beta option seems to cause problems though. The

I run a Ubiquiti Unifi mesh network with four AP's, a USG and a
Controller (on an RPi) handling 71 clients. The entire system is rock
solid and the Radio/Boom's/SB3's connect work flawlessly. Whilst the
Unifi system is great you do need to be careful with some of the
configuration settings. If
Stop the 2nd LMS, factory reset the Radio and try re-connecting to the

ethernet before reverting to Wi-Fi but not sure if that had an effect.
Are you running LMS 8.0?
I just fixed my re-buffering problems and flaky Wi-Fi. For some reason
the SB Radio does not like having two Squeezebox servers running at the
same time on different PC's. Worth checking there are no other instances
of LMS alive. In my case I set up a new instance of LMS on a new PC and
left the

This is what the Wi-Fi landscape looks like around us. As you can see
there is hardly any interference other than on Channel 4 which I do not
use. The Radio is on the 'Bedroom'
Update: I seem to have solved the problem!
I had started an instance of LMS8 on a second PC on the network and that
seems to cause the problem. Stopping one of the LMS servers restores the
radio to normality. It looks like the Radio was trying to connect to
both servers but could not decide
My Radio has today started doing the same - constantly
connecting/reconnecting to Wi-Fi. My network is pretty much state of the
art (Ubiquity Security Gateway plus four AP-Lite access points all on
separate fixed channels). I have moved the Radio around the house and to
an outbuilding with its
