It appears my problem is that my presets are not what I thought they
were. (See the 2 lines with "Found a playlist" when I selected Country
108 then WCBS).
I changed the URLs for these 2 presets to point directly to the
.aac/.mp3 and the delays are gone!
So I conclude a few things:

When you are playing a station
I'll try logging tomorrow.
How do I clear the playlist? I don't normally use playlists, just the
pre-sets and favourites.
If I start the stream with a pre-set, can I just stop the stream with a
long press of the pause button instead?
I -do- use playlists with VLC media player. How could I
Stable = last tested by Logitech. 2018 is the build due to minor
library updates and to enable to run with newer OS releases - not the
last time LMS code was added which was about 2015.
After Logitech left LMS to community - all releases are beta since there
is nobody going through a test
Thanks for staying with me on this! I'd really like to find a solution.

Mnay of the station are geolocked for me but the atl750 played OK and
there was no https.
It started playing within 3 secs on a LMS system with a Sb receiver.
Do you get the same delay with ATL750 when it is saved as a Favorite and
played from Favorites menu ? just trying to check if there

This is truly ancient - it practically has no https support and most
streams these days start off with a redirect to https.
Beside poor https support - it poses a security risk with the

LMS 7.76
You are aware that LMS is now up to 7.92 (which handles a lot of things
better).
It is not 2018 any more ...

Give the full specific URLs on your presets which are causing problems
and your LMS version. There has been a number of LMS fixes to https.
Also if the URLs are playlist (e.g. a opml.radiotime) - then
I've noticed that there is no annoying delay when I am connected to
mysqueezebox.com... only when connected to LMS.
However, when I do this, my screensavers/wallpapers which rely on things
like SDT and Custom Clock Helper don't work. So I guess my questions is:
can plugins be stored in my
Testing with mplayer (because it gives good diagnostics) and not LMS or
an SB player.
I am outside the US so streams a couple of the stream gave me 403
forbidden i.e. geo-locked.
The first URL has an unusual StreamURL in the ICY info (this is usually
artwork but this link goes to a html page)
Must be something on your end.
Adding all 4 URL's to my Favorites on MySB.com and switching between all
of them a multiple times they all play within a couple seconds (standard
buffering).

If station plays on mysqueezebox - then https is not the issue.

Can you post a few URLs to test and make sure they are the same in case
of different URLs for different regions

Lots of variables to consider - some more info always helps with

* Stations with low bitrate will take longer to start compared to
station with high bitrates.
* http vs https can add a delay - many station introduced

Only happens on Presets? What about just randomly changing stations in
Radio's menu's?
