So I bought a set of Tektro CR720s from RBW and mounted them on my
Quickbeam. I wasn't happy with the stock Shimano brakes, even with
Salmon pads. I also wanted to road test my new Swobo tights, and
RainLegs (rainchaps). Photo link below.

I came of age when center-pulls were sheap and crappy and did a poor
job of speed modulation (to borrow a term from Jan Heine). I never
got over my disdain for them; and I don't know anyone locally who has

I used my Rainlegs (in actual rain) yesterday, atop a pair of wool

reasonably dry, although the 'round-the-leg straps are a tad annoying.

We had a guy come in to the shop a couple years ago to buy some canvas/
leather bags for his all-carbon bike. Seems strange, but you can't
exactly clamp any luggage capacity on carbon seatstays, seatpost, or
handlebar.
Anyway, he told me about his intention to do at least one brevet

It's got some cool new features, and we like it a lot.

Would prefer a 20 and silver but will take 28 and black.
Also in market for IQ Cyo switched (senso or not) headlight, the distant

I am still on the fence on deciding between a SON and a DN380, but if I can

John, thanks for the announcement.
RBW Group Folks, the largest change you'll see is on any given product
page. Here's an example:

You can now:
• see several images, and read the big description, and see related
products in one screen
I didn't even think of that. The tri world seems so high tech
oriented. It would be awesome to see someone out there rocking a
Huffy. I'll keep an eye out for my steel brethren.

This weekend I was finally able to finish installing the Paul Racer
centerpull brakes on my Homer. They replaced the Silver sidepull brakes. I
also switched to Koolstop Thinline salmon pads. While I haven't had a chance

is. Asking the tri folks so far there hasn't been a single person who

Seth,
I switched the low-profile Shimano's to Mafac cantilever on my
Quickbeam shortly after I bought it. IMHO they are wonderful.
High profile cantilievers seem to work well with aero brake levers.
