I mount my mud flaps on the inside, it curves the flap and helps it
stay in place rather than deflecting in the wind. Some planet bike
flaps fit over the end of the fender (both inside and outside?).

I realized I don't like narrow tread on my cranks, so my TA Pro V Vis

I'm not sure I know what you're saying, Gino, but I never bother fastening the
main lid. Wind and gravity hold it down. I've only fastened it when carrying
the bike on a car or bus rack.

When I was a boy in India, it was common to see hub shiners made from
brightly colored, stiff bristles, like a bottle brush that you looped about
the hub. Personally, I can't see the advantage of a dirty shiner over a
dirty hub.
